Rain, cold temperatures and a stiff north wind more than offset any benefit that the lowish air pressure might have given the eleven women who rode tonight's time trial. Of the nine who had ridden earlier 2013 WTT events, only 2 improved upon their season-series best speed - Patricia Konantz (28:31) and Alyssa Mellon who had tonight's fastest time of 22:47. Part of their excuse for improving might have been that they were only out for their second time trial of the season. You can click here to see a graph showing the WTT results so far this season for all who rode tonight. There were two new riders out tonight - Lucie Tremblay was fourth overall with 25:14 (despite a considerable delay from cars at the turn-around) and her 14 year old daughter Alexandra Bouchard did 33:20. They enjoyed the race and we'll look forward to seeing how well they (and the rest of us) will ride under more favourable conditions!
